9 month old male Lab x (67 lbs), 9 month old spayed Pom,Chi x (9.9 lbs) Needs Rescue Commitment today at 5 PM @ Sac SPCA

Can you ask Nikky if you can rescue the little pom?  Do you place your dogs in foster homes?  I can put a HOLD on her for your rescue but need to know first if you are taking her.

Thank you,

Charlene Wolfe

The little Pom mix seems easy to place perhaps and she is spayed, sadly I know Cooper would not do well here.

ANIMALS IN NEED OF RESCUE COMMITMENT BY SATURDAY, AUGUST 3rd  AT 5PM

"Cooper" 20458854: 9 month old male Lab mix. 67 lbs. Some nice people found him as a stray and couldn't keep him.   He lived with dogs and cats.  He is house trained.  He is a happy guy when he is next to you.   He is already chipped.  Fee for neuter, rabies and heatwom test is $100.00.

Talk about a charmer! Cooper will make you feel like a million bucks by how happy he is to be next to you! He adores attention, and loves belly rubs and hugs. He is a very people oriented pup, and has been paired up with several other dogs here and has done great with all of them. He had an all-lab look to his body, and we cant figure out where the brindle comes from but he sure is handsome!! Cooper was found as a stray, and his finders could no longer keep him. They said he lived with other dogs and cats, and he is housetrained. They also said he LOVES to go swim at the river! Unfortunately, Cooper is not an adoption candidate because he growled when we tried to take his food away, and he becomes a bit mouthy during rough handling.

"Bella" 19692400: 9 month old spayed female Pomeranian/ Chihuahua 9.9 pounds..  She loves to crawl into your lap.

Bella was originally adopted from us in April of this year. She is back at the shelter because she was overly mouthy when she didnt want something done. She doesnt bite hard but she does use her mouth to communicate. She is also very wary of people approaching her kennel, and will growl and hide. Once you walk in she jumps right in your lap. When I sat down, she hopped right up and made herself at home, resting her head on my knees. When I did a bit of rough handling, she became mouthy but settled down nicely, and wanted to snuggle.

The following dogs do not need a rescue commitment today.   They have been in the shelter a long   They need rescue or adoption.

Jenni is a peppy outgoing friendly gal who loves to walk and play. She has lots of energy and really enjoys exploring the world with her nose. Jenni seems to enjoy a friendly pat and cuddle for which sher gives big smiles and tail wags.

Jenni would do best in a somewhat active home with adults and older children. She should do fine with another dog(s) at home. Someone who is often home to spend lots of time with Jenni running and playing would be ideal. ~tas

Jenni has been with us for several months, and has had blood in her urine on and off for the past few weeks. We have not been able to find the cause, and recently sent her bloodwork in for testing. Here are her most recent medical notes:

Jenni qualifies for a grant up to $500 to cover medical needs!!!

Drew is a sweet, goofy girl who loves belly rubs and just being with you. She will sit for you and is especially happy when you have a treat for her. Drew walks well on a leash and will make a great exercise companion. Her coat is a beautiful brindle and white, with her soft brown eyes looking for your attention and love. /nv

Drew has also been with us for some time, and is becoming kennel stressed.
